Velvet Blue French Manicure

I recently ordered a set of various colours of flocking powder from eBay. I ordered from prettygirl_uk who I believe is based in China. She has a lot of very cheap nail supplies. I bought the 12 pack of flocking powders for €2.36. It arrived on Friday after about a week and a half.

I was drawn to the dark blue as it would go well with my Nails Inc Baker St blue.

I applied two layers of Butter London All Hail McQueen and then topped with Seche Vite. Then I used some tape to put on the blue colour and quickly topped with flocking powder. I found if you didn't put the flocking powder on straight away, it didn't stick properly.

I waited for it to dry then peeled off the tape to get the straight edges. The result is interesting. Not sure if I love it but it's definitely fun! I think velvet nails might work better on whole nails.

Let me know what you think...
