I needed a few things in Boots and I always like to buy there due to the Advantage Points. Even more importantly, as I do actuarial exams, I am technically a student which means student card! :) A student travel card gives you 10% off all Boots stock (except prescriptions I think), that includes Estee Lauder, Lancome, Clinique, etc which I am luckily enough to have stocked in mine. You also get points on the balance.
I got Colorsport eyebrow dye in Dark Brown. I dye my eyebrows every few weeks since they are naturally light blonde. I like a slightly stronger eyebrow look so I use this. It's so easy to use, just mix it up, pop it on and 10 mins later, your brows are darker.
I love big hair and since my John Frieda just ran out, I decided to try out a new brand - Umberto Giannini Volume Shampoo. The bottle is definitely really pretty!
I saw the new Barry M Confetti Nail Paint and decided to pick it up as I love nail trends. Haven't tried it yet.
Since there was buy more, get one half price, I also picked up the Barry M sharpener. I saw a review of this on Makeup Monster's blog (http://makeupmonster.ie/index.php/2013/06/makeup-essentials-barry-m-adjustable-sharpener/) so I thought I would try it.
For skincare, I like to use brands like Clinique and Estee Lauder. This is my second tub of Day Wear, it has a mild cucumbery smell which is quite pleasant. I felt I needed something stronger than the Clinique Dramatically Different moisturiser so I moved to this. I quite like it so far but wouldn't be adverse to trying something new next time.
Clinique's Take the Day Off is my favourite eye make up remover. I wear a lot of mascara and eyeliner and I find this is best at taking it all off. I have tried other brands but nothing seems to work as well as this. This was actually bought in House of Fraser as they had a Clinique promotion on. If you bought two items, you got this free gift. My mum wanted a cleanser and kindly let me have the gift. I love these gifts as I travel a lot for work, so it's brilliant to have these sizes in my travel bag.
Finally, I repurchased the No7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Balm. It works really nicely with my Clarisonic and I had a 6.50 off No7 skincare voucher so it didn't cost very much!
I have to say, I love buying make up and skincare when out shopping. No issues about whether they have it in your size or if it fits. What's your favourite type of shopping?
