As you may or may not know, Saturday the 3rd August was International Nail Art Day (aka #INAD).
I was alerted to this by the lovely Nail Affair (check out her and her amazing make up nail art here!). I was really glad it was a Saturday so that I would have time to get something done.
Since I'm so so good with very fine detail, I decided to go with one of my favourite types of nail art - the gradient. But I thought I should ramp it up a little seeing as it's for INAD.
I decided to go with some bright neon-y colours and see if I could work a 5 colour gradient.
Top Row: Essie 'In the Cab-ana', Barry M 'Pink Flamingo, Opi Alpine Show Bottom Row: Orly 'Fancy Fuschia', Illamasqua 'Cameo', Revlon 'Sunshine Sparkle' |
I dabbed it on each nail and topped up the colours every two nails or so. Each nail does look similar but not the same which is something I love.
The great thing about this is it's so easy. Just paint a sponge, dab, and clean up the mess on your fingers using acteone and a brush!
Pre clean-up! Eek! |
What do you think of this look? Have you tried gradients before?
