I think this week we have definitely seen a change in weather. While I like wearing brights at all times of year, the next few months is a great time to wear darker, deeper colours.
Clockwise from top left: Orly's Sapphire Silk, Nails Inc The Thames, Zoya Logan, Essie's Jamaica Me Crazy, Orly's Fowl Play, OPI Every Month is Oktoberfest |
OPI's Every Month is Oktoberfest is an almost black colour with a lovely duochrome to it.
Orly's Fowl Play is one of my favourites. A deep purple with beautiful flakies in it to give that lovely rainbow effect.
Essie's Jamaica Me Crazy is a jewel-toned pinky purple and applies really well.
I previously featured Orly's Sapphire Silk on the blog. It's a blue, but can also look a little green in some lights. It's not a teal, not a royal blue. Not sure how to describe it but I like how different it is.
Nails Inc The Thames is a classic grey rather than a gI really like Nails Inc's application and this is a great colour for winter.
Finally there is Zoya's Logan. This is the only Zoya I own. This is perfect for Christmas, the micro-glitter in it gives it an amazing sheen and it's unlike any other colour I've seen.
I hope you like my selections, what are you wearing on your nails now it's got colder?
