Today I decided to try out my Orly 'Feel the Vibe' neon minis that I bought recently.
Wow, do these colours pop! I used the pink - Beach Cruiser and the yellow - Glowstick. For the pink, I used two coats but the yellow needed four. Not a big fan of four coats but the formula was very thin so it didn't feel too gloopy.
I think these pictures do actually show how bright the colours are. Like all neons, these dried matte but a topcoat of Seche Vite fixed them up nicely.
Like I often also find with neons, the staying power is not amazing. I got two chips within 24 hours on my right hand, although the left hand is still mainly fine. I still think it's worth it for the sheer vibrancy of the colours.
I really like bright colours like this, and so does my lovely kitty.
In other news, I bought an Essie set on ebay. I am really excited for it to arrive. It's from the Shearling Darling collection and it's four wintery minis.

Wow those brights are amazing and your cat is super cute:)
ReplyDeleteThanks, he's a cutie alright! :)
DeleteI Love bright pinks like that... now stop hitting your kitty in the face :)
ReplyDeleteMe too, I have a few others like this but this one has a great formula. Kitty was rubbing his face against me to show his love for the nails! :)
DeleteSo jealous of your nail shape! I can't make mine half as even. Am mad for yellow varnish but always have to whack on a white base to get it to show up bright.
ReplyDeleteThanks, I actually use a straight nail clipper to get the straight edge on the top. Has really helped me get the shape right. Got the tip from another blog, lol!
DeleteOhhheee I love these, haven't worn a good neon in a while but am tempted to whip out a bottle now, they're fabulous!
