NOTD! Blue and Glitter Nails

Hi Everyone,

I decided to choose the Illamasqua cornflower blue colour in 'Cameo' to go for something different to pink and nudes but I wanted to liven it up as I just passed another actuary exam (CA2, an exam about Excel modelling and documentation) . I bought a Barry M glitter polish in Boots just before Xmas so I decided to pair them together. This definitely gave me the 'party on my nails' look I was looking for.

The Barry M is called 'Boots C'. It was a special edition at Xmas, presumably limited to Boots. I looked yesterday and it appears to be gone now. Barry M is a brilliant brand and proves you don't need to spend much to get great colours and formula.

This Barry M is super sparkley! It reflects a bright rainbow colour very strongly compared to other glitters. It's also fairly densely packed which means you get excellent coverage with just one coat. Like most glitters, a thick topcoat smooths out the surface as otherwise it can be slightly grainy.

I can see myself getting a lot of use out of this one. Quite a few random people have said my nails look lovely with this combo on. The better the light, the better the sparkle, so it looks brilliant in bathrooms, the office and in shops. Even when it's dull, it doesn't look bad.

I have been wearing this for 3 days now and no chips at all, just some tip wear from typing.

If you do come across this colour, you definitely need it in your collection!

  1. Love this combo that glitter is lovely!

  2. Without a doubt another gorgeous colour by Illamasqua. Your nails with the Barry M glitter polish on top looks gorgeous too. I have a similar one from Rimmel that I love putting over pastel colours for the "my little pony" look. Definitely can't get enough!
    Lovely post :)
