NOTD! Beachy Gradient with Barry M Gelly Colours

Hi Everyone,

I was in Boots the other day and saw they had a 3 for 2 on Barry M polishes. I have actually never tried the 'Gelly' range before so I picked up a few pastel colours.

Huckleberry, Sugar Apple and Lycee
I haven't got a lot of washed out pastels so I got three colours. Huckleberry is a very light blue.

Sugar Apple is very similar to Huckleberry but in turquoise.

Lycee is a really nice skin colour nude. It would be great for a 'mannequin' hands mani and it goes on really nicely.

I decided to try out a washed out beach manicure with these colours. The idea was a turquoise sea lapping a sandy beach... Firstly, I used two coats of Lycee. I then used a sponge to apply the two bluey colours, with the bluer one in the middle and the turquoisey one near the tips.

I did need to go over the area a second time with the sponge to try and make the colours more obvious.

I topped with two coats of Jessica's Brilliance and cleaned up around the cuticles.

I really like these colours, I don't have many in this palette. I think that Huckleberry and Sugar Apple are very similar, it's hard to see where each is in the gradient. The polishes are really great for the price and go on very nicely. I think I will buy more of these!

This is a nice and subtle manicure but fun at the same time! I really like it!

  1. So cute! I like that it's a much softer look that a lot of the neon "beachy" looks you see a lot. Those colours are just too lovely, I'm going to have to pick some up - I really like the formula!

  2. Very pretty! I only have a couple of the Gelly ones, mine are darker, but the pastels look gorgeous.
