I recently posted about my trip to San Francisco and Vegas here. I love shopping, especially for beauty related items so I picked up a few things along the way. Since I am moving to Canada in a few weeks (more here), I didn't buy a huge amount of stuff as I knew most of it could be bought in Canada.
L-R: Loreal 'Sexy in Sequins', Sephora X 'Naughty Newton', Pop 'Poetic Peacock', OPI 'Glitter Off', DIY Hard ails 'Pink Frost |
The Loreal and pop came from Walgreens, the Sephora X from Sephora, the OPI from a beauty supply store and the DIY Hard Nails from Amazon USA.
The DIY Hard Nails is a special type of gel polish - one which is heat sensitive. I am going to feature this in its own post later. I haven't tried any of the rest yet but I'm looking forward to trying the OPI as it's supposed to help get glitter polishes off. You do not know hassle until you try removing a glitter polish!
I also picked up this Marc Jacobs beauty in the nude greige 'Baby Jane'. I have been obsessed with owning a Marc Jacobs colour so I'm really excited about trying it! I got this in Sephora. Note that the large lid comes off and a smaller, easier to handle lid is used for application.
L-R: Top Row: Mac 'Candy Yum Yum', Mac 'Pink Lemonade', Mac 'Melon' Pigment, Estee Lauder Idealist, Sephora brudhe, Mac Strobe Cream Bottom Row: Mac 'Shock Value' |
I love Idealist, I've been using it for years on and off. It's officially a 'Pore Minimising Skin Refinisher' but I just find it good as a primer.
I really wanted a peach lip colour so I thought Mac's 'Pink Lemonade' would be a great pick. I've also been dying to try out a hot pink lip so I got Mac's 'Candy Yum Yum' and the matching lipliner of 'Shock Value'. There's a photo of me above with Candy Yum Yum and Shock Value.
When I was at the till in Mac I spotted the cute minis of Strobe Cream, which I have wanted to try for a while, and various pigments. I chose Melon as I'd heard great things about it. The minis are actually perfect as you are unlikely to use up all the pigment anyway.
Finally, I bought that cute leopard print kabuki brush pretty much just because it was leopard and would look great on my dresser! :)
Just before I went away, I was given a birthday present from my friend (it was my birthday during the trip). It was a set of Gelish polishes.

Need a Tan |
Vegas Nights |
'Pink Smoothie' is another creamy opaque colour but this time in light pink. What I like about this is how thick the formulas is. It reminds me of OPI's Mod About You. This looks great paired with Gelish's 'Make you Blink Pink'.
Anyway, that's it, I hope you enjoyed my haul!
